Northern Dynamics is a CODESYS Systems Partner specializing in Rockwell-to-CODESYS conversions and industrial control system integration, based in Cambridge, Ontario.
Our Legaat software converts SLC500, MicroLogix, ControlLogix, and CompactLogix programs to CODESYS in minutes — automating roughly 80% of the translation. Our engineering team handles the remaining 20%: safety logic, communications, and I/O mapping. Most clients hand us the full job — convert it and clean it up.
We also design and commission control systems from scratch — PLC programming, drives, motion control, and HMI/SCADA — across automotive, steel, plastics, pharma, and packaging. CODESYS is our primary platform; we also work with Rockwell and Siemens.
