Nel Varilla

Nel Varilla is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in research and development roles. Currently serving as a Staff Electrical Engineer R&D at Northgate Technologies, Inc. since January 2019, Nel previously held the position of Electrical Engineer II R&D. Prior experience includes serving as Lead Electrical Engineer at Optimal Design from April 2012 to 2018, and as an Electrical Design Engineer at Livingston Products, Inc. from 1999 to 2011. Nel's career began as a New Venture Electrical Engineer at Pittway System Technology Group R&D from 1993 to 1999. Nel holds multiple advanced degrees from the University of Illinois Chicago, including a Master of Science in Energy Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
