Igor Borovykh

Igor Borovykh is a seasoned professional in the energy trading and consultancy sector, currently serving as Co-Founder of Energy Bear B.V. and Lead Algo Trading at Northpool B.V. Since January 2019, Igor has also been involved in energy consultancy and interim management at BorLar B.V. Previously, Igor held notable positions including Head of Automated Trading at Neas Energy A/S, where responsibilities included managing a team and developing automated trading capabilities, and Senior Cross-Commodity Trader at Vattenfall Energy Trading Netherlands N.V. Igor’s career began in academia, with postdoctoral research roles and an assistant professorship, complemented by a strong educational background, including a PhD in Physics/Biophysics from Leiden University and a Master’s degree in Physics/Chemical Physics from Novosibirsk State University.
