Brian McDonald

Brian McDonald has a long history of professional experience in the engineering and information technology fields. Brian began their career in 1996 as a Marketing Intern at WorldCom. After that, they worked as an Information Management Consultant at Platinum Technology Inc. from 1997 to 1999. During this period, they also worked as a Senior Information Management Consultant at Computer Associates. In 1999, they joined the US Army Reserve as a Special Operations Staff Sergeant and held this position until 2007.

In 2007, they joined Northstrat Incorporated as a Minority Owner/Director, where they were a member of the corporate executive team and authored initial marketing and recruiting collateral. Brian also served as Technical Lead & Project Manager, Senior Security Engineer, and Chief Information Security Officer. In 2018, they became a Managing Partner at Mid Atlantic Chicken & Biscuits, LLC. From 2003 to 2018, they also worked as a MicroStrategy Report Developer, Security Engineer, & Deputy Project Manager at TMA - Technology Management Associates and as a Technical Lead at Booz Allen Hamilton. From 2000 to 2001, they worked as a Senior Web Application Developer at Etensity.

Brian McDonald has a diverse educational background. Brian obtained a High School Diploma from North Carolina School of Science & Math (NCSSM) between 1991 and 1993. Brian then went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from William & Mary in 1997, with a field of study in Information Technology. In 2002, they completed a Master of Science (MS) from The Johns Hopkins University, with a field of study in Information & Telecommunication Systems. McDonald has also obtained seven certifications, including a Certified Advanced Security Professional (CASP) from CompTIA in 2015, a Security+ from CompTIA in 2014, a Certified Developer of XML and Related Technologies from IBM in 2000, and a Food Protection Manager Certification from ServSafe Certified in 2020.
