Marcus Ulmefors

Marcus Ulmefors is an accomplished data and AI professional currently serving as the Director of Data & AI at Northvolt since April 2019. In this role, Marcus has been pivotal in defining the Operating Model for a centralized Data Technology Platform and leads several Data & AI teams. Previous positions include Engineering Manager and Data Scientist at Northvolt, where contributions included technical hiring and significant R&D initiatives. Additionally, Marcus holds a board position at Immetric and runs Ulmefors IT Consulting, focusing on Li-ion batteries and renewable energy. With a strong academic background, including an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, and extensive industry experience across various organizations, Marcus has demonstrated expertise in data engineering, machine learning, and collaborative research projects.
