Mats Larsson is an experienced engineer and scientist with a strong background in electrical discharge and physics. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at Northvolt since March 2022, Mats previously held the role of Principal Scientist at Hitachi Energy and Hitachi ABB Power Grids. Prior to that, Mats contributed to ABB Corporate Research as a Principal Scientist and worked as a Research Associate/Postdoc at the University of Oregon. Mats began academic work as a Postdoc and PhD student at Linköping University, where both a PhD and a Master of Science in Physics were obtained.
