Surajit Midya

Surajit Midya is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and system engineering across various sectors, including rail transportation and industrial applications. Currently serving as Principal Electrical Engineer at Northvolt, Surajit previously held roles such as EMC Senior Expert at Alstom and worked at Bombardier Transportation for several years, where responsibilities included leading the Center of Competence for EMC and overseeing the entire life cycle of railway propulsion systems. Surajit began a career as a Design Engineer and Project Engineer, progressing to roles that involved advanced diagnostic technologies and system design. Education includes a PhD in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science.
