Norway's Multicultural Centre builds on the elements outlined in the UN Human Rights. We are a multicultural team with a variation of backgrounds in work industry and experience, subject knowledge, education, native country, language, religious views, political views, age and life experience. What brings us together is a genuine wish for newcomers to Norway will discover a sense of belonging here, and come to love our country.

For newcomers arriving in Norway, a conveying of information and knowledge can help provide a solid understanding of how they may gain acceptance and respect in the Norwegian society. All cultures have unspoken rules which need to be followed. The team at Norway's Multicultural Centre educates in social codes and customs, culture, views, equality, system, laws and regulations in Norway. It's about finding a nice balance between both cultural societies, and to be proud of and maintain own values, while also adapting to the Norwegian society and its values, laws and regulations.

We love our country: the nature, the freedom, the democracy, the equality, the respect, the justice, the trust, the care, and the safety. Our work and vision evolve around every one of us who together form the multicultural society can together continue to build on these common values. As one people and one nation we have a joint responsibility to take care of our country, and to ensure that our children and grandchildren may grow up in a country of peace and acceptance.
