Michael Smith

Michael Smith is the President of Norwest Engineering Inc., a position held since spring 2013, after serving as a Principal at the same company since fall 2008. Under Michael's leadership, Norwest has expanded with satellite offices in Los Angeles, Houston, and Denver, focusing on heavy industrial projects such as terminals, refineries, plants, and ports. Prior experience includes a role as Project Manager/Structural Engineer at JHI Engineering from 1996 to 2008, where Michael managed all aspects of engineering, design, and construction for heavy industrial projects, including chemical plants, refineries, and power plants. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Portland.
