Franklin Selgert has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades.

Franklin currently holds the position of Quality Business Architect at Nostics, a role they began in December 2021.

Prior to their current role, Selgert worked as a Project Manager at AnyWi Technologies from July 2019 to October 2022. In this position, they were involved in two EU projects, focusing on research related to Secure Dev Ops in IoT environments and device security with secure encrypted communication.

From October 2014 to February 2019, Selgert worked as a Senior Consultant at BusinessCanvas.NU. In this role, they assisted companies in thinking innovatively and reinventing their business strategies. Franklin worked with Flextronics and People Creating Value, conducting business canvas workshops to enhance sales and distribution models as well as facilitate management convergence after a merger.

Selgert also gained project management experience at Philips Health Systems from June 2015 to January 2018. Here, they were involved in projects related to the selection and implementation of monitor solutions for medical devices.

In the earlier years of their career, Selgert held prominent positions in standardization and industry organizations. From 2009 to 2011, they served as the Chair of TC MCD (Multimedia Content Delivery) at ETSI, guiding and coordinating standardization work in the field of multimedia systems. From 2008 to 2010, they were the Chair of the board of directors at BMCO forum, an international non-profit organization focused on shaping an open market environment for mobile broadcast services.

Selgert's work experience also includes roles at KPN, where they worked as a sr Innovation Manager from 2000 to 2010. Franklin contributed to product development, strategy, and standards, and played a significant role in IPTV efforts, including formulating vision papers, strategies, and long-term product roadmaps.

Additionally, Selgert has been involved in entrepreneurial ventures. Franklin founded emotional footprints / cultural footprints in 2003 and co-founded intermax bv in 1999.

Selgert's earlier career also includes work in GSM, where they worked on GSMA integrated messaging from 2002 to 2004.

Franklin Selgert's education history includes a range of studies and trainings in various fields. In 1981-1988, they obtained a master's degree in architecture, volkshuisvesting, and restauratie at Delft University of Technology. In 1990-1991, they pursued a post-graduate study in building informatics at the same university. From 1994 to 2007, Selgert participated in specialized trainings covering several fields. In 1998-2000, they attended Sioo to study Information/Communication Technology & Organizational change (ICT & O). In 2009-2010, they completed an HBO Bachelor's degree in internal communication at NCOI. Later on, from 2012 to 2013, they studied business processes and ICT as well as business processes at Open Universiteit. In 2015, they briefly focused on the principles of environmental sciences at Open Universiteit, and in 2018, they explored computer software engineering at the same institution.
