John Mendelson

John Mendelson currently serves as President of Nosy Crow, having joined the company in June 2022 to establish a new North American branch. Prior to this role, John held several positions at Candlewick Press from May 2009 to March 2022, including Senior Vice President of Sales. John's extensive experience in the book industry also includes roles at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where responsibilities ranged from Director of Trade Sales to National Accounts Manager, and earlier, as National Accounts Manager at Lyons Press. John earned a BA in Art History from Union College, where studies took place from 1992 to 1996, and attended Middlesex School from 1989 to 1992.
