Jim Kim has over 15 years of experience as a venture capitalist and technology investor. Jim has a deep understanding of infrastructure, hardware, and diversified technology investments.

At CMEA Capital, they collaborated with entrepreneurs from A123 Systems, Foro Energy, and a number of university spinouts. As the founding partner of GE’s Energy Technology Ventures group, they led investments in A123Systems, China High Speed Transmission (HK:658), ComScore (SCOR), Danger (acquired by MSFT), Ocean Power Delivery, and several later-stage companies across diverse technology sectors.

Jim Kim's educational career includes a Bachelor's Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering and Political Science. Jim also has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Columbia University in the City of New York. In addition, they have a Master's Degree in Quantitative Methods from Columbia University in the City of New York and is an Adjunct Professor - Entrepreneurship at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Jim also has certification from University of California, Davis in Certificate in Winemaking, Wine & Spirit Education Trust in Advanced Certification in Wine & Spirits, and Introductory Sommelier.
