John Heasman

John Heasman is currently the Chief Information Security Officer at Proof, where they manage the Security Engineering team and have built the application security team from the ground up. Previously, John spent a decade as a consultant at a leading InfoSec consultancy in EMEA, advising Fortune 100 companies on secure system deployment and development. They have co-authored two notable books on applied security testing and have been a prolific security researcher, presenting at international conferences and contributing to the IT security press. John holds a Master's degree in Engineering and Computing from Oxford University, where they developed a network intrusion detection system prototype that led to a spin-off acquired by Oracle.
