Mark MacLeod

Mark MacLeod is a Canadian business advisor, investor, and entrepreneur. Mark is currently an advisor at Notch, a startup accelerator. Mark was previously the CFO and Chief Corporate Development Officer at FreshBooks from 2013 to 2015. During their time at FreshBooks, they closed a $30M institutional funding round and led the process to find a partner to backstop a new product line.

From 2007 to 2008, they were the CFO of Mobivox. In 2009, they founded their own company, Mark MacLeod: Coach, Advisor & Investor. Mark has also served as a venture partner at Real Ventures from 2010 to 2013, and as an advisor and CFO for SaaS, E-commerce, and Marketplace companies from 2009 to 2010.

Mark MacLeod has an MBA from McGill University, and is a Chartered Accountant from Brock University. Mark also has certification from WSET — Wine & Spirit Education Trust in WSET Level 1 Wine Certification, and certification from Canada Coach Academy in Certified Personal & Business Performance Coach. Mark is also certified by CPA Ontario as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
