Fernando Machado has a diverse and extensive work experience in marketing and brand development.
Fernando is currently a Board Member at Braze, a position they have held since 2023.
Prior to that, they were the Global Chief Marketing Officer at NotCo, a unicorn start-up, where they joined in April 2023.
From 2021 to 2023, Fernando served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Activision Blizzard, where they were responsible for marketing initiatives for popular gaming titles.
Before joining Activision Blizzard, Fernando spent 7 years at Restaurant Brands International, where they held the role of Global Chief Marketing Officer. Fernando was focused on infusing the brands with purpose, improving product quality, and modernizing design.
From 2014 to 2020, Fernando held various positions at Burger King Corporation. Fernando was the Global Chief Marketing Officer from 2017 to 2020 and the Head of Brand Marketing at Burger King from 2014 to 2017.
Fernando started their career at Unilever in 1996. Fernando held several roles, including Regional Brand Development Manager and Local Brand Manager, before becoming the Global Brand Development VP for Dove Skin Cleansing and Care in 2010. Fernando also held various other brand development positions at Unilever.
Fernando Machado completed their MBA in 2003 at INSEAD. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Universidade Estadual de Campinas from 1993 to 1997.
