Daniel Yang

Daniel Yang is a Software Engineer with extensive experience in both tech and education. Currently employed at Notion since March 2022, Daniel previously held a position at Instagram from July 2019 to March 2022, where responsibilities included leading client infrastructure projects for Direct Messaging and modernizing integrations with Facebook Messenger. Prior to that, Daniel worked at Facebook from July 2014 to July 2019 as an Engineer in Residence, contributing to curriculum development in computer science and overseeing teaching initiatives at California State University - Monterey Bay, while also enhancing user features in the Facebook for Android app. Daniel's early career included internships at Facebook and Twilio, alongside formative roles at Carnegie Mellon University and AACCOM, where significant contributions were made to educational programs and web development respectively. Daniel holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, completed in 2014.
