Bruce Beard

Bruce Beard is a seasoned professional in the field of analytical and measurement sciences, with extensive experience in managing R&D teams and overseeing analytical capabilities across multiple organizations. Currently, Bruce serves as the Retired Measurement and Analytical Sciences Manager / Spectroscopist at Nouryon, where responsibilities included leading the Measurement and Analytical Sciences department to support the Surface Chemistry business in the Americas. Bruce's tenure at AkzoNobel spanned over 16 years, during which roles included Global Senior Section Manager and Sr. Section Manager, focusing on analytical research and capability development on a global scale. Bruce's earlier career included significant roles at Akzo Nobel Central Research and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, with a strong foundation in physical chemistry, evidenced by an academic background that includes a Ph.D. from Lehigh University and post-doctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley.
