Larry Ryan

Larry Ryan is Executive Vice President and President of Performance Formulations and the Americas at Nouryon. He is responsible for the Performance Formulations Business, which is comprised of five business lines: Agricultural, Home & Personal Care, Construction, Natural Resources, and Intermediates. He also oversees Nouryon’s activities in the Americas.

Mr. Ryan joined Nouryon in 2019 from The Dow Chemical Company where he was Business President, North America, and Growth Platforms & Technologies. At Dow, he previously held the positions of Business President, Transportation, Business President of Energy and Water Solutions, and Global Director of Oil, Gas, and Mining. Prior to Dow, he worked at Halliburton as its Global Manager for Water Treatment. Mr. Ryan also served as CEO of SulphCo Inc. and, before that, spent eight years with General Electric, where he held a variety of technical and commercial leadership positions.

Mr. Ryan is a board member of the American Chemistry Council, and a former member of the board for PFLAG, the largest organization in the US that unites families, allies, and people who are LGBTQ+. In 2018, Financial Times recognized him as one of the Top 50 Leading Ally Executives.

Mr. Ryan received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
