Rowan Appelman

Rowan Appelman is currently serving as the Technical Development Manager at Nouryon since October 2023. Prior experience includes the role of Project and Sustainability Manager at Mitsubishi Chemical Europe from February 2021 to October 2023, where responsibilities encompassed developing sustainability strategies, enhancing product development processes, and implementing the company's green transition. As part of the European graduate program at Mitsubishi Chemical, Rowan completed two international placements and cross-company projects. Previous roles include Research and Development Engineer at MCPP NL, Source and Contact Researcher for COVID-19 at GGD GHOR Nederland, and an intern in Technical Development and Engineering at Borealis. Rowan holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, alongside a Bachelor's degree in the same field, and has completed a research internship at Texas A&M University.
