Werner Barnard is an experienced analytical technologist and researcher with expertise in Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and vibrational spectroscopy. Currently serving as a PAT Analytical Technologist at Nouryon, Werner supports global production sites in the development and implementation of spectroscopic solutions. Prior roles include PAT Researcher at both Nouryon and AkzoNobel, focusing on near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopic methods, and Senior Research Scientist at Sasol, coordinating Raman and FTIR spectroscopy applications. Werner holds a PhD, MSc, BSc Hons., and BSc in Chemistry from the University of Pretoria, culminating education between 1999 and 2009.
