Alan Harmon

Alan Harmon is a seasoned Metallurgical and Weld Engineer with extensive experience in materials science and quality engineering. Currently employed at NOV since June 2021, Alan focuses on metallurgical project work through PT&C|LWG Forensic Consulting Services. Previous roles include Quality/Metallurgical Engineer at ME Global Inc., managing laboratory responsibilities for spectrometers, and serving as Manager of the Engineering Technology Center at National Oilwell Varco, where analysis of material failures and fracture analysis were key functions. Alan's early career involved positions at Sivaco, Walker Wire/ISPAT Inc., and MNP Corporation, where technical expertise in metallurgical processes and quality control was honed. Alan holds a Bachelor's of Science in Material Science and Engineering with a specialization in Metallurgy from Michigan State University.
