J. Steven Schaper, PE, PMP, has extensive experience in electrical engineering, currently serving as the Electrical Engineering Manager at National Oilwell Varco since October 2017. Prior to this role, Schaper was self-employed, providing commercial electrical forensic analysis and disaster recovery services for a brief period in 2017. Schaper held the position of Electrical Engineer at AGI Industries, Inc. from May 2015 to June 2017, and was a Senior Project Engineer (Instrumentation Group Leader) at Baker Hughes from August 2010 to January 2015, specializing in pressure pumping. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Controls Engineer at Tegron, LLC from December 2007 to May 2010. Schaper earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin between 1999 and 2003.
