John Carrier

John Carrier has extensive experience in education and coaching, currently serving as a teacher at Gateway to College and a science teacher at St. Paul Humboldt within the Saint Paul Public Schools since June 2011. Demonstrating a commitment to student-centered education, John fosters a challenging and engaging classroom environment. In addition to teaching, John has a strong coaching background, including roles as Head Boys Basketball Coach at Nova Classical Academy since June 2020 and at Henry Sibley High School from May 2016 to March 2020, where significant improvements in team performance were achieved. John has also held coaching positions in various high schools, including Tartan High School and St. Paul Como Park High School, alongside teaching science to middle school students. With a Master's degree in Educational Design from Western Governors University and a B.S. in Science Education from Bemidji State University, John combines educational expertise with athletic leadership.
