Tyrone Chen

Tyrone Chen is a seasoned software engineering leader currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Nova Credit since May 2022, where responsibilities include overseeing cross-border credit checks and automated income verification to foster a more inclusive financial system. Prior to this role, Tyrone spent nearly nine years at Apple, progressing through various positions from Acoustic Calibration and Instrumentation Engineer to Software Engineering Manager, contributing significantly to hearing health features across multiple platforms. Tyrone's early career includes an internship at Audyssey Laboratories, developing audio EQ algorithms, and a leadership role at The Aerospace Corporation, managing a team focused on calibration equipment. Tyrone holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Signal Processing from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from UCLA.
