Tom Tiet has a diverse work experience in various fields. Tom started their career as a Plant Engineer Intern at Flint Hills Resources in 2014. In 2015, they worked as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern at Horton Automatics, Ltd. Starting from 2017, they joined Gen Korean BBQ House and held two roles: Server and Corporate Trainer. As a Server, they demonstrated strong customer service skills and was responsible for taking orders, delivering food and drinks efficiently, handling payments, and training new employees. In 2019, Tom joined Nova Group, GBC, as an Energy Project Manager, where they are currently employed. Lastly, from 2020 to 2022, they worked at Aramark as an Associate Energy Engineer, where they performed tasks such as operating building management systems, resolving operating inefficiencies, and creating energy management reports.
Tom Tiet has a strong educational background in mechanical engineering. Tom achieved a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Tom then pursued further education at the University of North Texas, earning a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical & Energy Engineering from 2016 to 2018. In addition to their degrees, Tom has obtained additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In March 2020, they completed the OSHA - 10-Hr Construction Industry certification through the University of South Florida OSHA Training Institute Education Center. Furthermore, in May 2018, they obtained a Graduate Academic Certificate in Energy from the University of North Texas.
