Markus Sommer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and operations management within the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as City Leader for NOVA in Copenhagen since September 2025, Markus is dedicated to connecting and developing top global talent. Prior to this role, significant contributions were made at Ørsted, where Markus held various senior positions, including Senior Lead/Transformation Program Manager in Offshore Wind and Cross-Regional Manager for Operations Excellence. Additional experience includes a role at Enecogen supporting cross-company business development, as well as positions at DONG Energy focusing on business improvement initiatives in bioenergy and thermal operations.
