Since 2014, Novaetech has been the home of openQCM, the first open-source and open-hardware Quartz Crystal Microbalance project in the world. openQCM makes nanogram-scale mass sensing accessible to researchers, universities and laboratories worldwide — through transparent hardware, open-source software and scientific-grade performance.

Our flagship instrument, openQCM NEXT, is an advanced QCM-D apparatus featuring frequency and dissipation monitoring, multiple overtone analysis and active Peltier thermal control. Developed in close collaboration with the scientific community, openQCM NEXT supports applications in surface science and tribology, soft condensed matter, protein adsorption, biosensing, materials science and environmental monitoring.
