NovaHealZ is a biomaterials-driven health-tech startup developing next-generation hydrogel technologies for wound care and skin health. Born out of the University of Glasgow, NovaHealZ combines scientific research with practical innovation to create solutions that improve healing outcomes and patient care.

Our flagship innovation focuses on biocompatible hydrogel-based wound dressings designed to support the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, post-surgical wounds, and maternal recovery following C-sections. By leveraging advanced biomaterials and skin-compatible technologies, we aim to enhance healing, reduce complications, and improve quality of life for patients.

Beyond advanced wound care, NovaHealZ is building a hydrogel innovation platform that extends into skin health and biomaterial-based solutions, bridging research, product development, and translational healthcare innovation.

NovaHealZ was recognized as the winner of the FemTech Hackathon, supported by the EIBF Prize 2025 and the Converge Microfinance Grant, and selected as a Finalist in the Converge KickStart Challenge 2025.

With its roots in Scotland and expanding innovation and R&D activities internationally, NovaHealZ is committed to redefining wound care and skin health through science-backed, sustainable, and patient-centered design.
