Franck B.

Franck B. is an accomplished synthetic chemist with extensive experience in medicinal chemistry and process research. Currently serving as Associate Director of Synthetic Chemistry at NovAliX since July 2023, Franck previously held multiple leadership roles at Galapagos from March 2008 to July 2023, including Team Leader of Process Research and Team Leader in Medicinal Chemistry, where notable achievements included the discovery of GLPG972/S201086 and the oversight of various drug discovery programs. Early career experiences include postdoctoral research at Merck KGaA focusing on malaria treatment and radical chemistry research at the University of Illinois Chicago, which resulted in multiple publications. Franck holds an Ingenieur Chimiste degree from Chimie ParisTech - PSL and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
