The lottery formats of Novamedia have led to a total amount over 12 billion euros being donated to thousands of charities and social initiatives worldwide up to and including 2022. Over 13 million players in these five countries raised 825 million euros for charities and good causes during 2021, which means over 2.2 million euros every day of the year. Making impact, both by the funding of smaller charities and local community initiatives and through charities and community organisations across the world. The funding philosophy ‘Playing for a better world’ encompasses the approach that multi-year unrestricted funding is key for civil society organisations to contribute to a better world for everyone. 

Unrestricted funding allows the beneficiaries and cultural partners of the Postcode Lottery Group to address those needs they feel are most relevant and urgent. It allows them to flexibly shift priorities when circumstances change. The Postcode Lottery Group is the world's 3rd largest private donor.
