Daniel Kandel

Daniel Kandel has a strong work experience, starting with their current role as VP of Technology at Nova Measuring Instruments since November 2017. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Technology at the same company from January 2016 to October 2017. Before joining Nova Measuring Instruments, they worked at KLA-Tencor, where they served as Chief Scientist, Optical Metrology Division from March 2014 to December 2015. Daniel also held the positions of Sr. Director of Advanced Development (September 2011 to March 2014), Director of Advanced Development (July 2009 to September 2011), and Research Scientist (March 2004 to July 2009) at KLA-Tencor. Prior to their time at KLA-Tencor, they worked as an Associate Professor of Physics at the Weizmann Institute of Science from January 2003 to March 2004, and Senior Scientist from January 1996 to December 2002. Daniel also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard University in 1994, and as a Research Associate at the University of Maryland from 1991 to 1994.

Daniel Kandel obtained their B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 1981 to 1984. Daniel then attended the Weizmann Institute of Science from 1984 to 1990, where they earned their M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physics.
