Dean Hunt has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Dean started their career at KLA Instruments as a Mechanical Engineer, where they designed custom probe card interface fixtures and value-added accessories for wafer prober products. Dean then joined Schlumberger ATE, where they served as a Staff Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Manager, and Engineering Manager, responsible for the development of various products and managing engineering teams. After that, they worked at OnWafer Technologies as a Director of Engineering, overseeing budget, personnel, and product development programs. At KLA-Tencor, they held the position of Sr. Director of Engineering, focusing on product improvement and bringing new products to market. Dean later joined Carl Zeiss X-ray Microscopy Inc., where they served as the Vice President of Engineering and Operations, leading executive responsibility for manufacturing operations and field service, as well as managing engineering product development. Dean also worked at GES as the Head of Global Hardware Engineering and at Kapteyn-Murnane Laboratories (KMLabs) as the Vice President of Engineering and Manufacturing. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Operations & Mfg Engineering at Nova Measuring Instruments.

Dean Hunt completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1985 to 1988. Dean later pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Santa Clara University from 1992 to 1994. Prior to these degrees, Dean attended Tracy High, although specific dates and degrees are unknown.
