John O'Connor

John O'Connor is a seasoned audit and risk management professional with extensive experience in the corporate and government sectors. Currently serving as the Regional Head of Internal Audit for the Americas at Novartis since May 2009, John has also held the position of Director within the same department. Prior to Novartis, John contributed as a Franklin Fellow and Foreign Affairs Officer at the U.S. Department of State for a brief period in 2008-2009. With a solid foundation in risk advisory services developed during a tenure as a Manager at Ernst & Young from 2000 to 2008, John holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, complemented by a Minor in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, obtained in 2000.
