Ritesh Kumar, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Principal/Scientific Lead in Strategy and Operational Excellence for Global Drug Development at Novartis since November 2019. Prior to this role, Ritesh worked as a Life Sciences consultant at Amgen from July 2016 to November 2019 and as a Bioinformatics Scientist at 1Globe Health Institute from June 2014 to June 2016, where a focus on innovative research for novel therapeutics was maintained. Ritesh's academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Structural Biology from The University of Kansas, where significant research contributions were made, including the purification of uncharacterized proteins and the application of bioinformatics tools. Ritesh also served as a Graduate Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at The University of Kansas and held earlier positions at ICGEB and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, beginning with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology.
