Rizwan Awan

Rizwan Awan has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Head of Process Validation at Novartis since August 2017, where responsibilities include managing global Cell and Gene Therapy process validation and ongoing compliance with regulatory standards. Previously, Rizwan held various positions at Pfizer, including QA Manager, where quality oversight and adherence to cGMP were paramount for drug product operations. Early career experience includes roles as a Validation Specialist at Kvaerner Process and Sidmak Laboratories, and as a Production/Process Engineer at GlaxoSmithKline and Dawood Hercules Chemicals Ltd. Rizwan holds an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Chemical Engineering from The City University of New York and the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, respectively.
