Simon Messner

Simon Messner, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the biopharmaceutical industry with extensive experience in patient engagement, product management, and medical affairs. Currently serving as Director of Patient Engagement Scientific Excellence at Novartis since May 2018, Simon leads the implementation of Patient-Focused Drug Development and drives patient engagement activities in research and development. Previous roles at Novartis include Expert in Patient Engagement and Regional Medical Director, where Simon contributed to the successful development and market access of innovative therapies. Prior to Novartis, Simon held various product management positions at InSphero and earned a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Zurich, complemented by advanced studies in Product Management and certifications in Medicines Development and Leadership in Medical Affairs from respected institutions.
