Beth Meyer

Elizabeth Meyer currently serves as the Chief Legal Officer at Novata and is a member of the Responsible AI VC Council at the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics, contributing to venture investment practices in responsible AI. Previously, Elizabeth held multiple positions at Techstars, including Associate General Counsel and Senior Risk & Compliance Attorney, and was Managing Partner at Empower Equity Partners, LLC. Additional experience includes roles at JLT Specialty, Shearman & Sterling LLP, and the World Bank Group. Elizabeth's educational background includes a JD from American University Washington College of Law, a Master of Arts in International Development from American University's School of International Service, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and International Relations from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
