Tracy Mercier has a wealth of experience in the education sector. Tracy began their career in 2005 as a Classroom Teacher for the East Windsor School District. Tracy then moved to Granby Public Schools in 2012, where they served as a Grade 5 Long-Term Substitute Teacher, and later as a Library Media Specialist in 2015. In 2016, they worked as a Library Media Specialist for the CREC International Magnet School for Global Citizenship and a Grade 5 Teacher for Windermere Elementary School. That same year, they joined the Digital Citizenship Institute, where they worked as a Digital Citizenship Associate and Chief Content Creator. In 2021, they began working for Ellington Public Schools as a Library Media Specialist and Technology Integration Coach. Most recently, they were appointed as a Product Engagement Manager for Novel Effect in 2022.
Tracy Mercier obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Elementary Education and Teaching from the College of Our Lady of the Elms from 1996 to 2000. Tracy then went on to obtain a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Junior High/Intermediate/Middle School Education and Teaching from the University of Saint Joseph from 2007 to 2012. In 2017, they obtained certifications in School Library/Media Specialist and Elementary Education from the CT DoE.
