Astrid Kaufman

Astrid Kaufman has a diverse work background, with experience in various engineering and technical roles. Astrid is currently employed at Noven Pharmaceuticals as the Sr Manager of Process Engineering, a position they have held since February 2023. Prior to this, they were the Manager of Process Engineering at Noven Pharmaceuticals from July 2022 to May 2023. Astrid also worked as a Process Engineer at Noven Pharmaceuticals from September 2020 to July 2022, where they were responsible for tasks such as generating development protocols, leading investigations, and implementing risk-based approaches for material qualifications. Before joining Noven Pharmaceuticals, Astrid worked at Arthrex as a Manufacturing Engineer II from May 2018 to August 2019, and as an Associate Manufacturing Engineer from May 2017 to May 2018. At Arthrex, they focused on executing improvement projects, collaborating on R&D projects, and validating equipment and processes. Prior to their role at Arthrex, Astrid worked at Vivex Biomedical as a Process Engineer from August 2015 to May 2017, where they were involved in creating and revising SOPs, executing equipment and process qualifications, and optimizing freeze drying cycles. Astrid also worked as an Engineering Intern at UMTB, Vivex Biomedical from November 2014 to August 2015, where they restructured processes and conducted statistical data analysis. Astrid's earlier experience includes working as a Technician Assistant at Florida International University in 2014, a Sales Associate at Nordstrom in 2013, and a Chiropractic Assistant at Fisher Chiropractic Center in 2011.

Astrid Kaufman earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Florida International University from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they studied Chemistry at Miami Dade College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree from 2009 to 2011. Astrid has also completed several additional certifications, including Leadership Foundations from LinkedIn in 2019, Foundations of Project Management and Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project from Coursera in 2022, Quality Trainer by Minitab in 2018, Community & Workplace CPR AED from the Health & Safety Training Institute in 2015, and the CITI Biomedical Human Research Course from the COLLABORATIVE INSTITUTIONAL TRAINING INITIATIVE (CITI PROGRAM) in 2013.
