Daniel Nelson, PhD is an experienced professional in the field of aerospace engineering, currently serving as the Director of Advanced Development at Novity since October 2022. Prior to this role, Daniel held the position of Multiphysics Modeling Engineer at PARC, a Xerox Company, where contributions included developing models for physics-based prognostics and health monitoring. Daniel has a strong academic background, having taught various aerospace courses as a Lecturer at San Diego State University from May 2010 to May 2021, while also conducting research focused on flow separation in complex geometries. Other notable experiences include roles at Flowserve Corporation, Solar Turbines, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Space Exploration Technologies, and California Air Resources Board, alongside a solid educational foundation with dual PhDs in Aerospace Engineering from UC San Diego and San Diego State University.
