Michael Qiu

Michael Qiu, P.Eng is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as a Field Engineer at Novus Technical Services since July 2023. Previously, Michael worked at Suncor Energy for nearly 15 years as an E&I Specialist, managing and coordinating numerous electrical and control projects, including major upgrades to energy efficient lighting and surveillance systems. Additionally, Michael has held various engineering roles at companies such as Pope & Talbot and Resolute Forest Products, where responsibilities included electrical reliability and process systems engineering. Michael's academic background includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from Memorial University, completed in 2007. Michael also has experience in financial advisory services through a part-time role at SMG Advisors.
