Leen Kawas is the co-founder and managing general partner of Propel Bio Partners LLC, a life science investment firm dedicated to supporting innovative technologies. Previously, Leen co-founded Athira Pharma and served as its CEO, leading the company through a successful IPO and raising approximately $400 million in funding. With a strong background in pharmaceuticals, Leen has also held roles as a member of the board of directors for various biotechnology companies and has contributed as an advisor and mentor in the biotech sector. Leen earned a PhD in molecular pharmacology and toxicology from Washington State University and holds a pharmacy degree from the University of Jordan.
