Gentry Sims

Gentry Sims has extensive experience in the cybersecurity and technology industry, spanning multiple roles and companies over the course of their career. Their most recent position was as the Director of Federal Business Development at NowSecure, where they began in August 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Dtex Systems from October 2017 to August 2020, serving as a Senior Cybersecurity Advisor and Public Sector Senior Sales Engineer. During their time at Dtex Systems, Gentry successfully managed two DISA Lab Proof of Concept deployments and achieved an Interim Approval to Operate (ATO) for the Enterprise deployment on GovCloud AWS. Gentry also co-managed a team and coordinated a three-month extension on an existing contract.

Before joining Dtex Systems, Gentry held various positions at BlackBerry. From November 2015 to September 2017, they worked as the Customer Success VP, Public Sector, and Director NALA Cybersecurity Services Sales. In this role, they launched the Sales branch of Cybersecurity Services in NALA and achieved significant sales achievements in the first quarter. Prior to this, Gentry worked at Good Technology as a Customer Success Director, Solutions Engineer Manager, and Public Sector Government Solutions Engineer from June 2009 to October 2015. During their tenure at Good Technology, they led executive-tier mobility strategy management for the Air Force and Navy and played a key role in developing customer ROI initiatives.

Gentry's earlier work experience includes roles at JTFN as a Senior Systems Engineer, ManTech Security Technologies Corporation as an Associate Field Engineer, Alphatech Corporation as a Network Engineer/Domain Administrator, and the White House Communications Agency as an Information System Technician and Personnel Security Manager. Gentry also served as a Senior Communications and Information Manager at the Director of Staff, United States Air Forces in Europe.

Gentry Sims attended National Louis University in McLean, Virginia, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations.
