Rhys P. is an experienced engineer with a strong background in risk engineering, strategy, and content development. In 2022, they began working as a Junior Risk Engineer at nPlan. In 2021, they became the Director of Strategy & Content at The Structural Exam, where they developed three new digital product lines, managed the company's digital presence, and established collaborations with external partners. In 2020, they were selected as one of two Royal Academy of Engineering representatives for the Early Career Engineers group, and was also awarded an Engineering Leaders Scholarship from the Royal Academy of Engineering. Rhys is currently a Construction Project Manager for the Volunteer Zambia Foundation. From 2017-2021, Rhys worked at BAM Nuttall Ltd, where they held various roles including ICE QUEST Scholar, Assistant Design Engineer, Undergraduate Assistant Design Engineer, and Trainee Engineer. Rhys also worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Bath in 2021, as a Private Tutor at MyTutor.co.uk from 2017-2021, and as a UK Program Ambassador for The GREEN Program in 2020. Additionally, in 2017, Rhys worked as a Bartender/Front of House at Mitchells & Butlers PLC.
Rhys P. is currently studying for a MEng (Hons) Civil Engineering with Industrial Placement at the University of Bath, which they began in 2017 and is expected to complete in 2022. In 2021, Rhys attended the Kathmandu University (KU) Winter School for International Sustainable Development. Prior to this, they attended the Iceland School of Energy - Reykjavik University Summer School for Renewable Energy Innovation & Sustainability in 2020. Rhys previously studied at Wilmslow High School Sixth Form College from 2015-2017, where they achieved an A level in Maths, Further Maths and Physics, and an AS level in Chemistry and EPQ. Rhys has also obtained various certifications, including a Fellow of the RSA (FRSA) from The RSA in 2021, a Credential of Readiness (CORe) from Harvard Business School Online in 2020, Health, Safety & Environment for Operatives from CITB in 2019, a DBS Check from Disclosure and Barring Service DBS in 2018, a UK driving licence from Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) in 2017, a Gold Duke of Edinburgh from The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in 2016, and a Senior Maths Challenge Silver award from UNITED KINGDOM MATHEMATICS TRUST in 2015.
