Alex Balander

Alex Balander has a wide range of work experience in various leadership roles. Alex is currently working as the Sr. Director Customer Success and Head of Product at Nrby, Inc. since February 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Product at Soli from April 2022.

Before transitioning into product roles, Alex held a long-term position as the Vice President of Business Development at Barcom Technology Solutions from February 2020 to April 2022.

Their previous experience includes working at Casa Systems, Inc. as the Director of Global Professional Services from July 2014 to October 2019, where they were responsible for managing the lifecycle of professional services and overseeing projects for major operators. Alex also held the position of Director of Field Engineering at Zanaware Technologies, Inc. from November 2012 to July 2014.

Alex has a strong background in the telecommunications industry, particularly in advanced video technologies. Alex served as the Director of Engineering Advanced Video at Charter Communications, with roles spanning from April 2003 to October 2012. During this time, they managed multi-million dollar budgets and projects focused on SDV, VOD, Simulcast, and other advanced video product lines.

Additionally, Alex took on the role of Region 6 Director at SCTE from 2007 to 2009, where they contributed to the growth and development of the organization.

Before their leadership roles, Alex started their career as an Installer and worked their way up to Chief Technician at TCI, Bresnan, and Charter from November 1995 to April 2003.

Alex Balander attended South Dakota Mines from 1993 to 1994, studying Electrical Engineering. After that, they enrolled at Rochester Community and Technical College from 2008 to 2014, pursuing a degree in Business Administration, which was in progress during that time.
