Kurt Dobbins

Kurt Dobbins is the CEO of Nrby, a position they have held since 2015.

Dobbins has over 25 years of experience in the tech industry, starting as the Technical Director at Cabletron Systems from 1989 to 1999. Kurt then went on to become the Founder and CEO of Ellacoya Networks, an award-winning venture-backed startup for broadband Internet switching software and infrastructure platforms. Ellacoya was acquired by Arbor Networks in 2008.

After their time at Ellacoya, Dobbins served as the CTO IP Services for Arbor Networks until 2009. Kurt then founded Deep Information Sciences in November 2009 and served as its CEO until 2015. Deep Information Sciences is a venture-backed startup in Big Data that pioneered a new database engine, leveraging machine learning for adaptive transactions and simultaneous analytics.

Most recently, Dobbins was the President of Ping4 Inc. from 2015 to 2020.
