Patrick Morse

Patrick Morse is the Director at NRECA. Patrick previously worked as Lead QA Analyst at Tenable Network Security from October 2009 to May 2017. There, they performed manual and automated testing of security products, both on-site and cloud based solutions. Prior to that, they worked as Security Analyst at Symantec Managed Security Services from January 2004 to October 2009 where they did realtime analysis of events and logs from multiple IDS / Network devices for enterprise orgs. Before that, they were Sr Network Engineer at Rtis Inc from January 2000 to October 2004 where they were responsible for the day-to-day operations of the datacenter's multiple SQL servers. Patrick was also Sr Admin of Novell Netware 5.0 Lan/Wan operations and managed transition from NT 4.0 to AD domain [Windows 2003]. Patrick introduced and managed IDS [Snort] devices and performed network protocol analysis and optimizations [Transitioned from IPX to pure IP environment]. Furthermore, they managed multiple infrastructure devices including Pix and Checkpoint firewalls, cisco switches and routers. Patrick also implemented and managed network security policies and user policies using Zenworks and Active Directory. Lastly, they were responsible for troubleshooting and support of user environments, account administration and helpdesk support for the local environment.

Patrick Morse has an Associate of Arts in Musicology and Ethnomusicology from the University of the District of Columbia, as well as an Associate of Arts in Music Theory and Composition from Washington DC.
