Fulvio Bertocchi

Fulvio Bertocchi is a Consultant specializing in Nuclear Engineering Licensing and Thermal-Hydraulics at NRG since October 2019 and serves as a DSA Analyst for PALLAS since July 2022. Bertocchi contributed as a supporting expert to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the revision of SSG-25 and in developing a new Safety Report focused on periodic safety reviews for long-term operations of nuclear power plants. Bertocchi obtained a PhD in Fluid Mechanics from Delft University of Technology, conducting research within the EU SESAME project on coherent structures in bundle flows and flow-induced vibrations. Earlier, a Master's thesis internship at SCK-CEN involved Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations of polonium evaporation from a Lead Bismuth Eutectic mixture. Educational background includes accomplishments in nuclear engineering at both Università di Pisa and a Bachelor degree in Nuclear Engineering and Industrial Safety.
