Sander van Til

Sander van Til is a Lead Scientist and Consultant in Nuclear Fuels at NRG, where responsibilities include research on Gen IV nuclear fuels and representation at international working groups such as IAEA and EERA-JPNM. Expertise encompasses leading experimental irradiations and post-irradiation examinations in the High Flux Reactor, alongside development of characterization methodologies and quality assurance plans. Sander also serves as the leading scientist for functional materials involved in nuclear fusion, focusing on tritium breeding materials and related experimental campaigns. Prior experience includes risk analysis for power plants and infrastructure, and teaching physics at St Nicolaas High School. Sander holds a Master of Science in High Energy Physics from the University of Amsterdam and participated in the CERN summer school in 2006.
