Patrick Durkin has extensive experience in journalism and law, currently serving as the AFR Melbourne Bureau Chief and Deputy Editor at The Australian Financial Review since December 2014. Additionally, Patrick has held the role of Deputy Editor and Senior Journalist at BOSS magazine since January 2013 and has been a journalist for The Australian Financial Review since 2007. Prior to their journalism career, Patrick practiced law at ANZ from 2005 to 2006 and at Norton Rose Australia from 2000 to 2005. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Economics from Monash University, and has furthered education through programs at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Australasian Investor Relations Association.
